Import Existing Steps into a Knowby

Summary:

Enable creators to import steps from other Knowbys directly into the one they are editing.

Description:

Creators often need to merge or reuse content from multiple Knowbys. Currently, this requires manually recreating steps, which is time-consuming and error-prone.

Adding an “Import Steps” option in Knowby Studio would make it possible to bring in steps from existing Knowbys into the current one. This would not only simplify merging two Knowbys but also support other use cases such as modular authoring, template building, and knowledge reuse.

Proposed Features:

• Option in Knowby Studio to search or browse existing Knowbys.

• Ability to select one or more steps and import them into the current Knowby.

• Imported steps retain their media, order, and metadata.

• Steps can be re-ordered or edited after import.

Benefits:

• Saves time when consolidating or reusing existing content.

• Encourages modular, reusable Knowby creation.

• Makes large or multi-phase Knowbys easier to manage.
